Troubleshooting Off-Campus Access Problems

Username & Password Enable Cookies Enable Pop-ups Enable Javascript



  • Access to the Library's databases is restricted to current FLCC students, faculty and staff with valid FLCC email accounts.


    If authentication failed because you forgot your username or password:

    STUDENTS:

            You are using your FLCC e-mail username and password to access the Library's databases. Your e-mail account is provided through the computing department, and can be activated online by visiting http://axp.flcc.edu/src/activate.php. Your email password can be reset at: http://axp.flcc.edu/src/reset_password.php? .

    FACULTY AND STAFF:

            Your FLCC e-mail username and password are used to access the Library's databases. Your e-mail account, which is also used to log on to the network, is provided through the computing department.

    If you have any questions or problems with your FLCC e-mail account, please contact:

    Set your browser to accept cookies.
      • Firefox: Click on TOOLS > OPTIONS > PRIVACY > COOKIES ("Accept cookies from sites".)

      • Internet Explorer 5.x: Click on TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > SECURITY, Select the INTERNET icon and then CUSTOM LEVEL. (Scroll to Cookies and click "enable".)

      • Internet Explorer 6.x: Click on TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > PRIVACY (Default - move the slider to Medium) (Advanced > First-party Cookies - Accept)

      • Netscape 4.x: Click on EDIT > PREFERENCES > ADVANCED (Choose ACCEPT ALL COOKIES.)

      • Netscape 7.x: Click on EDIT > PREFERENCES > PRIVACY & SECURITY > Select COOKIES, then choose: ENABLE ALL COOKIES


    Enable popups

    Some databases require that popup windows be enabled. Remember to re-enable the popup blocker when your session is complete.

      • Firefox: Click on TOOLS > OPTIONS > WEB FEATURES > Uncheck BLOCK POPUP WINDOWS

      • Internet Explorer: Click on TOOLS > POP-UP BLOCKER > Turn off POP-UP BLOCKER

      • Netscape: Click on TOOLS > POPUP MANAGER.


    Enable Javascript
      • Internet Explorer 5-7: Click on TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > SECURITY (Move the slider bar to Medium)

      • Netscape Navigator/Communicator 7.x: Go to EDIT > PREFERENCES > ADVANCED > Click on SCRIPTS & PLUG-INS. (Under Enable JavaScript, click the checkbox next to Navigator. Click OK. )
