Troubleshooting Off-Campus Access Problems
Access to the Library's databases is restricted to current FLCC
students, faculty and staff with valid FLCC email accounts.
If authentication failed because you forgot your username or password:
STUDENTS:
You are using your FLCC e-mail username and
password to access the Library's databases. Your e-mail account is provided through the computing department, and can be activated online
by visiting http://axp.flcc.edu/src/activate.php. Your email password can be reset at:
http://axp.flcc.edu/src/reset_password.php?

FACULTY AND STAFF:
Your FLCC e-mail username and
password are used to access the Library's databases. Your e-mail account, which is also used to log on to the network, is provided through the computing department.

Set your browser to accept cookies.
- Firefox: Click on TOOLS > OPTIONS > PRIVACY > COOKIES ("Accept cookies from sites".)
- Internet Explorer 5.x: Click on TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > SECURITY, Select the INTERNET icon and then CUSTOM LEVEL. (Scroll to Cookies and click "enable".)
- Internet Explorer 6.x: Click on TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > PRIVACY (Default - move the slider to Medium) (Advanced > First-party Cookies - Accept)
- Netscape 4.x: Click on EDIT > PREFERENCES > ADVANCED (Choose ACCEPT ALL COOKIES.)
- Netscape 7.x: Click on EDIT > PREFERENCES > PRIVACY & SECURITY > Select COOKIES, then choose: ENABLE ALL COOKIES
Enable popups
Some databases require that popup windows be enabled. Remember to re-enable the popup blocker when your session is complete.
- Firefox: Click on TOOLS > OPTIONS > WEB FEATURES > Uncheck BLOCK POPUP WINDOWS
Internet Explorer: Click on TOOLS > POP-UP BLOCKER > Turn off POP-UP BLOCKER
Netscape: Click on TOOLS > POPUP MANAGER.
Enable Javascript
- Internet Explorer 5-7: Click on TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > SECURITY (Move the slider bar to Medium)
- Netscape Navigator/Communicator 7.x: Go to EDIT > PREFERENCES > ADVANCED > Click on SCRIPTS & PLUG-INS.
(Under Enable JavaScript, click the checkbox next to Navigator. Click OK. )
